Suppliers Guide

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has launched a new guide that aims to help businesses win contracts for the 2012 games. The guide advises suppliers on how to take part in the Olympic procurement process, including the qualifying and tendering procedures. It also explains the criteria and values, such as health and safety and sustainability, which the ODA will consider when evaluating bids.

It is estimated that the ODA will manage 2,000 contracts directly, with a further 50,000 contracts being awarded further down the supply chain. The ODA will be launching a service in September aimed at helping SMEs identify these contracts, which includes publishing a list of its direct contractors on the London 2012 website.

Gateway to London welcomes the new guide which will offer business of all sizes in Thames Gateway London the information and opportunities to become involved, support and potentially benefit from the 2012 games.

The document includes information on design procurement and evaluation methods, forthcoming design opportunities in the Olympic Park, and details of the ODA's design team.
