Beam Reach Attracts UK's Largest Contract Printer
Gateway to London has welcomed the news that Newsfax International, the UK's largest independent contract newspaper printer, is to occupy a new printing plant that is under construction at Beam Reach 5, part of the acclaimed 340 acre redevelopment project in Thames Gateway London.
The 4,093 sq m (44,063 sq ft) state-of-the-art facility, will become fully operational by June this year and will print newspapers such as The Sun, News of the World, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and other leading international newspapers.
The arrival of Newsfax to Beam Reach 5 follows the tremendous success that Easter Developments has had at Beam Reach 8 where its 14,500 sq m (155,516 sq ft) Easter Park scheme is nearing completion and has recently completed two lettings totalling some 44,000 sq ft in three units. Ruskim Seafoods have taken a 20,000 sq ft facility and A1 Pharmeceuticals, a company that specialises in the packaging and distribution of pharmaceutical goods have signed up for units 20 & 21 totalling 24,002 sq ft at the development in Ferry Lane, Rainham.
Sites 5 & 8 currently have available land for sale offering a variety of plot sizes capable of accommodating more than 2 million sq ft of workspace. The sites form part of the London Development Agency's (LDA) Beam Reach scheme, one of Thames Gateway London's key business locations and a vital part of the overall offer for companies looking to relocate in the region.
The agents representing the LDA at Beam Reach, CB Richard Ellis, Kemsley Whiteley & Ferris and North Rae Sanders have reported strong interest in a number of the remaining plots on Beam Reach 5 & 8 and some further announcements are expected soon.
