Introducing John Williams
There are few opportunities in life to make a really positive difference to people's lives. Gateway to London has been hugely successful in grasping that opportunity - attracting business to the region and helping to maintain jobs for the people of London Thames Gateway. I am delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of this, and to lead the agency in ensuring that we continue to build on this success.
The challenges of the current economic climate demand a confident response. To remain effective, we need to be clear about our objectives, focused on the outcomes which matter, and willing to seek out real synergy with our many partners and stakeholders. All this has been characteristic of Gateway to London, and I intend to maintain that approach.
I believe in London as a global city, and that London Thames Gateway offers an exceptional prospect for investors. I look forward to joining Sir Michael, the board and the team in championing this vibrant region, and to getting to know our partners and stakeholders over the coming months.
