Madison Bell Media Build on Thames Gateway London Roots
Media artwork specialists Madison Bell Media are the pioneers of the latest digital services available to advertisers. Traditionally, advertisers have had to rely on artwork being delivered to publications via bromide or film; Madison Bell Media have revolutionised this.
Established in 1999 Madison Bell Media work with a host of household names including the British Red Cross, EMI and American Express, converting artwork for these companies and quickly delivering it as material suitable for press and magazine advertisements. Madison Bell Media are recommended to their rapidly expanding client base by leading national and international papers and can turn around work within 30 minutes ready to appear in publications across the world.
Madison Bell Media were originally based in Lanterns Court, E14 and as leaseholders, with the building marked for redevelopment, needed to relocate.
In addition, as a rapidly expanding company, Madison Bell Media were already close to filling their existing space at Lanterns Court. This need to move was therefore seen as the perfect opportunity for the company to purchase larger premises and fully realise their expansion plans.
Gateway to London's Role
Madison Bell Media contacted Gateway to London in May 2005 having been referred by the Docklands Business Club.
The company required up to 3,000 sq ft of office space and Gateway to London initially sourced a number of appropriate sites in the Newham and Tower Hamlets area which were then reviewed and short listed.
Viewings of the short listed properties took place in July 2005, including a site visit to Trinity Buoy Wharf which offers a variety of commercial space set within a vibrant creative cluster. Madison Bell Media were strongly interested in the Riverside Building at Trinity Buoy Wharf which at the time was still under construction, presenting the option to take brand new, high quality office space in a unique location.
Gateway to London facilitated a meeting between the owners of Trinity Buoy Wharf, Urban Space Management and Madison Bell Media to initiate discussions and negotiate terms for the lease on the first floor of the Riverside building in August.
The Company's View
Director of Operations, Dean Gibson
'Gateway to London's knowledge of the sites available in the area which were suitable for a company growing as fast as ours was outstanding. In all our dealings with them they were efficient, fast and very helpful. We are really excited to now be located in our new offices at Trinity Buoy Wharf.'
New Business Director, Steve Howell
'The move was perfect timing for us to coincide with our amalgamation of 'Transcript', a Farringdon based repro company with a variety of creative clients. The extra space allowed us to acquire their equipment and offer extended creational services'
Outcome
At the end of 2005 Madison Bell Media agreed final terms on the 2,500 sq ft first floor units of the Riverside Building. The building has been fitted out and Madison Bell Media became fully operational on site in January 2006.
