Poth Hille Wax Lyrical About Easter Park Move
Manufacturing waxes since the late 1890s, family business Poth Hille is now a leading UK wax supplier and refiner, and a major player worldwide. Poth Hille supplies wax for innumerable industries including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, confectionary, polishes, candles and beauty.
Following a fire in 2003, Poth Hille's Stratford site was bought under a sale and lease back arrangement. Gateway to London wasted no time in finding a new property at Easter Park in Essex, which had just come onto the market. The company needed a site with a practical layout that was large enough to accommodate their existing team, whilst being clean and modern and Gateway to London delivered.
Because it was so well connected, when Poth Hille relocated to Easter Park 12 members of their team moved with them. The new location consisted of two newly built units and also had good access to customers.
Tony Cowmeadow, Managing Director, Poth Hille & Company Limited commented:
"Gateway to London's assistance was invaluable. I am particularly impressed by their ability to access information about available property throughout the Thames Gateway area. It is very refreshing to receive accurate and impartial advice about commercial property.
He then added: "This has saved us valuable time and resources throughout our search. I am also grateful to them for liaising with various agencies such as the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation and Havering planning team."
By relocating to new premises in London Thames Gateway, the company has secured the future of the business for many years to come. Starting a new chapter in the Poth Hille story, the company is now exploring turning sustainable resources including Soy, Palm Oil and Rape Seed; into wax.
