Gateway to London assists dsiCMM Ltd with move
Case Study - dsiCMM Ltd
Background
dsiCMM Ltd is one of the most innovative direct communication groups in the world. With a turnover in excess of £80 million and employing almost 1,000 people, dsiCMM Ltd is the UK's largest independently owned direct communications organisation; enjoying a customer base that includes over 90 per cent of the FTSE 100 companies. dsiCMM specialise in laser print personalisation, machine and hand bench enclosing, response handling (including call centre), distribution into postal networks, and print outsourcing.
The relocation of dsiCMM Ltd from Fairview Industrial Park, Rainham follows the recent merger of dsi with CMM Group creating a major force in the direct communications sector. Despite wanting to keep a London Thames Gateway address, the company wanted to relocate because it had outgrown its existing site.
Gateway to London's Role
With support from inward investment and business development agency, Gateway to London, dsiCMM was introduced to the AMB East London Distribution Park, Choats Road, Dagenham which met its needs. The decision to move to the premises followed an in-depth assessment and review of the company's location requirements by Gateway to London as well as negotiations with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.
Outcome
The relocation to new premises at the 178,000 sq ft AMB East London Distribution Park in London Thames Gateway will enable the company to build on its position as the UK's largest independently owned direct mail company and create around 500 new jobs. It will also mean that dsiCMM Ltd will continue to make a significant contribution to the ongoing economic growth of the local area and the wider Thames Gateway.
