Terry Morgan, Crossrail
Terry Morgan was appointed as Chairman of Crossrail with effect from the 1st June 2009. Crossrail is a £16bn programme that will in 2017 deliver a new commuter railway starting at Maidenhead and heading East through London to Shenfield and Abbey Wood. The project will include a new 21km twin bore tunnel under central London bringing an additional 10% capacity to the rail transport network with key interchanges to the existing network. Prior to this, Terry was for eight years CEO of Tube Lines that looked after the infrastructure for the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines of London Underground.  

Terry joined Tube Lines from BAE Systems. In his role as Group Managing Director - Operations and as a member of the Executive Committee he was responsible for five Divisions with 14,000 employees and a turnover of almost $2 billion.

In a previous role as the Director of HR, he was responsible for the full range of HR activities at BAE with the real challenge of establishing a 'one company' approach. In that regard he was responsible for leading a Change Programme to achieve the vision of being a Benchmark Company.
